Snoop Gone Country

We've been fans of Snoop Dogg since day one when he burst onto the scene as Dr. Dre's sidekick on the "Deep Cover" soundtrack. Cat still listens to "187um" in the morning to get fired up for work. She thoroughly enjoys keeping it gangster.

But after I accepted the fact that Snoop's best album was Doggystyle, Calvin Broadus resurrected his career with this VH1 reality show "Fatherhood" about life with his family. The show's hilar, btw. Not only has the former University of Michigan basketball recruit nailed the reality TV show thing, he now has ventured into new genre's of music. We're talking crazier than Andre 3000 of Outkast. Snoop is going nuts! You hip hop heads may have been mythed by "Sensual Seduction" on his latest album "Ego Trippin" but this one takes the cake. Snoop wrote a tribute to Johnny Cash in a song called "My Medicine". Yup, you heard me right. Mr. Folsom County Blues himself:
