Your Moment of Zen: Luke on the Floor

Luke chilled out on the floor for a minute or two with his baseball uniform on.

Lucas Needs Your Help

Lucas Scott needs the help of his loyal blog readers. He would like to know which photo of him you like better. Do you like the snap in Black-and-White or do you prefer a Sepia Tone? Vote below to help out Baby Luke!

It's Friday: Time to Party

But first we need to take a quick nap to rest up for the action.

Cat's first sushi since pregnancy! It only took her a month but we finally got her to Osaka on Fillmore Street. Luke takes a nap while Cat plows throw sashimi chased with Asahi.

We partied pretty hard for about an hour. But when Luke got his clothes off he immediately fell asleep. Oh well!

Lucas Demands Artsy Fartsy Pictures Taken

Mommy: here's what we'll do. I'm going to sleep in a really cute pose. I've put the camera on "black and white" filter. OK, snap away.

Now, Mommy, put on my blue-and-green spotted diaper. And lay me partially ontop of my monogrammed burb cloth. No, Mommy! Not the yellow one! I want the light blue one. Thank you. Now I'm going to go to sleep and curl up my hands. You better make it a full body snap since I think my legs are looking pretty good today.

Mommy I've switched the camera filter to "sepia". Let's see how this looks.

Mommy do another picture of me when I'm on Daddy's chest. Take a picture when I lift my head up because I'm very proud that I'm able to do this as a 3 week old. Make sure you put this on the blog because I look really strong when I do this.

Cat's 1st Mother's Day

After 22 days of motherhood, Cat was ready to celebrate Mommy-style!

Luke woke up very happy in his organic pajamas from his Auntie Erica. He reaches out to the camera and gives his Blue Steel look yet again!

The Little Monkey Man strikes again with a nice snuggle on Cat's chest. This makes Luke's Mommy very happy.

Boulange on Fillmore was the brunch spot on this day. You can't beat guzzling mocha bowls with the family.

A walk in the park caps this most special of Hallmark Holidays.

Happy Mother's Day to all Mommies out there!

Lucas on the Blue Blankie

Lucas slowly emerges from The Blue Blankie Of Comfy Snuggle Times!

To provide some current perspective, Cam puts his hand atop Luke's head. Yes, he is still a small little baby boy!

Posing With Mommy

Lucas loves to snuggle like a little monkey-man on his Mommy. He burries his little face in her and feels right at home.

We decided to get all artsy with this one.

A Fun Day!

I'm very alert in the mornings!

In the afternoon I like to play with my doggie. His name is Frankie and he takes good care of me.

When Daddy gets home from work, he sometimes likes to take a nap. Me and Frankie like to have a sleep with him.

Baby Bath Time

Lucas isn't really enjoying his bath. Although his bath recliner looks pretty comfortable to me.

"Thank you, Mommy, for drying me off!"

This is a priceless reaction. Lucas looks like a bald old man who forgot to put in his dentures in this picture. Ha!

The Many Faces of Lucas: Volume 2

First of all, nice bib choice Luke!

We're pretty sure his eyes are seeing things now!

Lucas is looking very concerned. About what? He doesn't know.

Lucas is very advanced. He can whistle.

And Lucas calls this one "Blue Steel".

Chilling/Hanging On The Couch

Chilling out on the couch is our family's favorite thing to do these days. Just like his Daddy (and his Dad's side of the family actually) Lucas really enjoys extending his arms above his head. It must be in the Hyland DNA.

Cam begins his fatherly words of genius to Lucas. Hopefully he'll continue to listen this intently as he grows up.

Our Little Monkey

Out of all the outfits we have for the little man, this is currently our favorite. But we're not sure if the monkey pajamas are Lucas' faves as he actually seems his happiest in the buck.

No matter what we pull out of the "newborn" drawer in Luke's dresser, there is nothing that won't totally clash with the boppy. Oh well.

Yes, don't worry. All of Lucas' "face down" time requires full parental supervision. He can't help it. Lil' Lucas loves laying on his side and on his belly even though these positions aren't pediatrician approved. We understand the potential issues which is why we just stand above him and stare while he's doing newborn tummy time. Makes us wonder how we ever survived sleeping on our bellies in our cribs? Oh well.

Your Moment of Zen: Baby Luke Swinging to Dire Straits

And now I present to you Your Moment of Zen:

Yes, Luke does love his Daddy. And if you don't believe him, just read his bib!

Weekend Funtimes

Since strollers are really challenging to push on sandy beaches, Cat decides to use the sling to go for a walk with her son. Shorts weather in SF? You bet!

Lucas fell asleep so we decided to give him his first taste of crib life. He seemed to enjoy the comfiness! Don't worry, we took the teddy bear out right after we snapped the pic!

One of Baby Luke's favorite spots to veg out is in the palm of Daddy Cam's hands.

Here are father and son enjoying a lazy Saturday afternoon.
